Cargill Protein (Cargill Kitchen Solutions) has extensive experience in commodity processing since its inception as a USDA Pilot Program in 1996 and is organized to assist states in meeting goals to obtain the best quality products at the lowest reasonable price through a formal procurement process. This partnership with the USDA allowed for Commodity Bulk Whole Liquid Egg to be further processed into appealing, convenient and nutritious items that schools could utilize to provide additional menu options for schools. This pilot program began with two states. Cargill Protein now works with over 1500 individual schools on a yearly basis. We have State Participation Agreements in place with 42 states. We have provided commodity processed products for over half of the top 20 school districts (based on ADP). A leading U.S. marketer of premium, further-processed egg products, Cargill Protein helps school districts thrive in the breakfast category.
