ABOUT THIS PARTNER:

We originated in 1938 in Memphis, TN. The founder was instrumental in establishing chlorine as a food-contact surface sanitizer, which led to his invention of a dispenser that automatically mixes chlorine with water.  In 1954, the company began manufacturing a patented low temperature dishwashing machine that utilized chlorine as a sanitizer and quickly became a leading commercial dishwasher company. The company’s founder became a seed member of the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF), and in 1964 NSF published eight food service equipment standards. Auto-Chlor continues its role with the NSF as a contributor on the Joint Committee for Food Service Equipment.

Because sustainability is one of our core values it is an important part of our daily operation. Since our inception products have been packaged in reusable containers. We are a leader in the production and installation of Energy Star certified commercial dishwashers, which save energy and water.  Our chemical products are free of  detergents that have been deemed to be harmful to aquatic life.  For our efforts in safe chemistry, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has awarded Auto-Chlor “Champion” in their Safe Detergents Stewardship Initiative.
