RFP Title: JOC IDIQ Trades

Question:
Please clarify how this contract differs from CSP 20/017MR, "Job Order Contracting IDIQ Minor Construction, Maintenance, Repair, Alteration, Renovation, and Remediation services". Will this contract be used primarily for single-trade job orders and 20/017MR will be used for multi-trade job orders?
Answer:
This contract differs as this is only in relation to "Trades" utilized for maintenance and minor construction, such as roofing, plumbing, etc. You are allowed to submit and work up to 3 divisions (outlined in the CSP), whereas the other is completely construction, and you don't have to choose any particular division(s) to work under. My contract also has a 2% admin fee, whereas the other is 4% due to the nature of business/scope of work to be performed.
Question:
IF I WERE TO CHOOSE DIVISION 9 AS MY SCOPE PACKAGE MUST WE PREFORM ALL DIVISION 9 OR ARE WE ABLE TO JUST SPECIFY WHAT DIVISION 9 WERE DOING...EXAMPLE: PAINTING OR CARPET OR GYP. BOARD, ETC. DIVISION 9 HAS A LOT OF TRADE SPECIFIC THAT REQUIRE DIFFERENT COMPANIES I.E PAINTING, CARPET, CERAMIC, GYP. BOARD
Answer:
If you choose a particular Division, you do not have to be able to perform any and all trades within that Division. Only bid the Division relative to your business and specify using the "Note" Section in the "Line Items tab.

Question:
What is the individual job order size range (dollar value)?
Answer:
There isn't a specific job order size range/dollar value. Depending on the size, complexity, scale/scope of work to be performed will determine if maintenance or construction.

Question:
We received a bid event this morning for JOC IDIQ Trades and we want to be sure this bid is within our category. We realize it is for maintenance, but our company specifically does grounds maintenance; not mowing, but fertilization and weed and ground pest management. Should we be bidding on this event category? And, what exactly is a Job Order Contract?
Answer:
A Job Order Contract by definition is a procurement method used for maintenance, repair, alteration, renovation, remediation, or minor construction of facilities when the work is of a recurring nature but the delivery times, types, and quantities of work required are indefinite. You will need to submit a Coefficient for this proposal. If you look at the proposal template, we are hosting a RSMeans training, here at our physical location, should you have questions about it and how to use it.
