New contract awarded at July board meeting

[HOUSTON– July 17, 2012] Cooperative contracts for web-based child assessment programs were approved for access through the HCDE Choice Partners Cooperative during the July board meeting of Harris County Department of Education. Governmental entities that have signed an interlocal agreement with HCDE may access these legally procured contracts.

The new contract that may be accessed through Choice Partners Cooperative is for Web-Based Child Assessment Program, which was awarded to Frog Street Press and McGraw-Hill.

Contracts that were renewed include:
Commercial Floor Covering: Shaw Industries, Inc.;
Digital Duplicators: Dahill, Patriot Group, Seamless Solutions and Zeno Imaging;
Electronic Procurement Software: ESM Solutions Corporation and Ion Wave Technologies;
Energy Efficient Roofing Services: Quest Construction Products, Inc. (formerly Hydro-Stop);
Flag and Flagpoles: Eagle Mountain Flag & Flagpole, Lady Liberty Flag & Flagpole, Pyramid School Products and School Specialty;
Furniture-Instructional (Classroom, Library, Science & Cafeteria), Equipment and Installation: Library Interiors of Texas, LLC.;
Furniture-Office, Equipment and Installation: OM Workspace and Watson Furniture Group;
Furniture-Specialty: Carroll’s Discount Office Furniture, Debner + Company, Educator’s Depot, Inc. and Vanguard Environments;
Motor Fuel and Lubricants: Petroleum Traders, Petroleum Wholesale, SC Fuels, Sun Coast Resources, Inc. and Sundance Fuels, Ltd.;
Musical Instruments: H&H Music, Interstate Music, Mariachi Connection, Shar Products Company, Taylor Music and Washington Music Center;
Office Supplies: Butler Business Products, Reliant Business Products and Tejas Office Products;
Plumbing Supplies: City Supply;
Tele-Medicine: Phonoscope Health Network; and
Trailers and Equipment: H&V Equipment.

New Members
Organizations and governmental entities that became members when interlocal contracts were approved by the HCDE board of trustees on July 17 included Augusta County Schools (Va), Central Texas Water Supply Corporation, city of Pasadena, Lyford ISD, Martha's Kitchen, Premier Learning Academy, Texas Can Academies, The Tenney School and Weatherford ISD.
